“摹仿”是指对某个自然表象或文化现象，有意或无意的摹仿。

Mimesis is the conscious or unconscious imitation of some aspect of nature or culture.

EARS 2:

A Greek word referring to the imitation of nature or culture. Often used as a term to describe recognisibility, it is the opposite of abstract (Abstract Sounds). A mimetic sound, is similar to a sound from nature or human culture. For example: the way in which a flute might imitate a bird, or the way in which granualr textures might sounds like pebbles / rocks falling.

91	Iris	“mimesis”源自希腊词，译者认为应翻译成“摹仿”，而非“模仿”。首先，二者意思相近，却有本质不同。“模仿”照原作去做，去学习，是一种表面化的工作，没有强调对原作的精神领悟。而“摹仿”本身有临摹的意思，吸收、理解原作意图、内在精神，并以此为基础，超越或是发展出自己的理念以及想法。	8/18/2010 4:28:17 PM
