门限是一种电子线路(或同等软件)的使用，它决定进入信号的放大器开还是关的，让信号保持在用户设定的阀值之上。门限反过来就是反门限(ducking)。只允许用户设定的阀值之下的信号通过。
Gating is the use of an electronic circuit (or software equivalent) which determines the opening and closing of the amplification of an input signal, allowing signal to persist only above a user-defined threshold. The inverse of gating is known as ducking which permits only the signal below the user-defined threshold.
