另类乐谱—Cornelius Cardew的专著
SCORED TO DIFFER_Treatise of Cornelius Cardew
• Graphical Scoring emerged in the early twentieth century because of a growing feeling among some composers that traditional (Western) notation was inadequate for their musical ideas
• it evolved out of attempts by composers to articulate a different relationship between music/sound and composers and musicians
• some composers explored the boundary between musical notation and visual art
• Between 1963 and 1967 Cornelius Cardew creates 'Treatise'. 193 pages of graphical scores, occassionally using traditonal notation symbols
• The 193 pages form a 'long visual composition, for any number of musicians with any instruments, may be performed whole or in part'
Key composer: Cornelius Cardew (1936 - 1981)
