About the Piece
“In this 作品 I started off by having a calm beginning that gets broken by bells and then it turns into loads of duplicated 声 The end is the beginning backwards to show that everything is mended in the end ”
This 作品 was 创作 in a short 系列 of sessions using 作曲 with 声 软件 Starting with a 过程 of auditioning all the 声 in the “Kitchen” collection Leshaun selected mostly ones with significant 音高 content The resulting 作品 makes much 用 of duplication as well as 变形 by 转换 to 创作 a 作品 which has a kind of asymmetrical 节奏 character Towards the end Leshaun and Duncan Chapman also thought about how it might make a great soundtrack to an 动画 序 or even a 舞 表演
About the Composer
Leshaun Blake-Rodrigues is 15 and has recently moved from London to Nottingham where she is a student at Trinity School She is currently 研究 for GCSE’s as well as being an enthusiastic violinist playing in 几个 ensembles Beautiful Things… is her first 作品 创作 using collected 声 and made using the CWS 软件
