What is an Intention?

An 目的 is a deliberate desire to make something happen It doesn't 中项 that what is imagined or desired will actually happen but that someone does wants it to happen

Intentions in Music

When we 作曲 with 声 we might 想像 a certain 声波 or 结构 Being able to 想像 what we want to 创作 is a really 重要 part of the 过程 because it gives us a 方向 without it we will just end up randomly adding 声 together


Turning an 目的 into a 现实

Intentions are often responsible for 行动 What we do is 控制 by what we want to do

When 制作 樂/乐 with 声 its often really useful to have a clear idea of what it is that you want to do And once you have this idea its really 重要 to be able to know how you can make it a 现实

There is no point in being able to 想像 the most amazing 声波 if we can't 创作 it And therefore we need to 理解 行动


制作 your imagination a reality

As many 物理学 teachers say Every 行为 has an 相等 and opposite reaction

This 中项 that when we do something it has an 效果(效应) Every 声波 that is 创作 is due to an 行为 Something has happened to make that 声波

经验 allows us to link what we want to make 目的 with 知识 about how we are going to make it 行为

It is only through practice and years of 经验 that we are able to make this 联系 better and better Being able to 理解 how 声 作品 gives us a great advantage in being able to 想像 and realise our imagination

But there is no better 时间 to start this 过程 of gathering 经验 than right here right now!


Turning 行动 into Sounds

It is a fact that the 品质 of the 行为 控制 the 品质 of the 声波

If we can 理解 how this 过程 作品 and what kind of 行动 produce which kind of 声 then we can make a 直 link between our imagined 观念 and the 行动 控制 声波 We will know HOW to realise our intentions

Part Two – From Imagination to Sound

想像 a 声波 and then 作品 out which kind of 行动 you need to 表演 in order to make this 声波

通过 these instructions to another 人 and ask them to make the 声波 that you are imagining
•How close are they?
•Can you adapt your instructions to help them get closer to your imagined 声波
•Can you make a 声波 that they are able to imagine

You could 创作 these 声 by using the manipulations in 作曲 with 声 Or by 表演 them with your voice or on 乐器 in the classroom

Often it is better to be able to 表演 and 创作 exactly the 声 that you want rather than 处理 other 声 to make what you 想像
